7th Grade Abstract Faces
The 7th grade students look at themselves in a mirror and draw their faces with solid black and white patches. They are reminded that they are to over-dramatize their features and make a face that is abstract while remembering to use the whole page in a compositionally correct way. Then, they cut the dark patches of facial features from black construction paper and glue these shapes onto white paper.
